Breast reconstruction has been a covered expense with every insurance carrier that we have ever dealt with.  Obviously, some carriers reimburse better than others.  Dr. Keller believes that every woman is entitled to be reconstructed after a mastectomy and his office will work with any patient who desires reconstruction.  While finances are important,  to be a whole person again is even more important.  No one has ever been turned down for breast flap reconstruction in Dr. Keller's office solely for financial reasons.  

Through the efforts of Dr. Keller's patients and office staff, three resistant carriers changed their thinking about DIEP flap reimbursement.
